Please do not make the mistake Dale did by not wearing a seatbelt. It is so easy to put one on and could save your life in an accident!

The penalty for not wearing a seatbelt could be a fine of up to £1,000. But the most serious penalty of all could be that you or a passenger loses their life.

The diagram below illustrates a seatbelt worn correctly and also a way in which they are commonly worn incorrectly. Dale was wearing a seatbelt in the accident, however he was not wearing it correctly. A seatbelt will not protect you as designed unless it is worn correctly so do not be complacent - always wear your seatbelt correctly.
